Amrit and You
We help children with challenges and their caregivers access the information, support and services that they need to conquer their challenges.

There are three strands to our current work:

Services Bank

We have built an online Services Bank for caregivers. This is an extensive directory of service providers working with children with challenges. We have also provided easy to understand information about these challenges.

We are constantly expanding and improving the Services Bank – please do join us by encouraging your service providers to empanel with us, and send us your thoughts and comments on what we can do to make the Services Bank more useful for you.

Knowledge Creation

We create and disseminate knowledge on intellectual and developmental challenges. This includes our regular publications, as well as our current major research project – the Patang Survey.

Feel free to share the resources we have created for you!

Inclusion Advocacy

We want to change the public and policy discourse around intellectual and developmental challenges. Our #weallfitin campaign has already sensitised hundreds of young people across Delhi NCR to the experiences of children with challenges.

We also aim to tell a different – more positive – narrative about intellectual challenges through our Facebook and Twitter pages. The Amrit team produces reflection pieces on key issues which affect persons with challenges; these have been published on Youth Ki Awaaz and Medium.

We are also building a community of children with challenges, parents, caregivers and volunteers to advocate for inclusion. Join us under The Little Peepul Tree!
